The certificate obtained from the Townhall is only valid for three months.
Some Police (Immigration) offices are requesting the Padron when applying for residencia as it is considered a proof of residency.
Holiday home owners should not register. The Padron is only for residents in Spain.

- A valid Passport and Residency card or certificate of registration on the foreigners register if available.
- If a home owner: Property title such as a title deed or purchase agreement.
- If a tenant: Current rental contract of housing for use as an habitual residence accompanied by the last rental receipt.
